ENG 122 – Akademik İngilizce II – Ara Sınav I Duyurusu

Sevgili Öğrenciler,

YAZ OKULU ENG122 Ara Sınav-1, 23 Temmuz 2025 Çarşamba saat 09:30’da yapılacaktır. Gerekli hazırlıkların ve duyuruların yapılabilmesi için en geç 09:15’e kadar sınav salonunuzda hazır bulunmanız gerekmektedir. (Sınava gireceğiniz sınav salonlarını görmek için tıklayınız.) Yanınızda Çankaya Üniversitesi kimlik kartı ve Nüfus Cüzdanınızı bulundurmanız gerekmektedir.

Sınav, ENG 122 ders programında yer alan ilk 3 haftalık konuları ve Contemporary Topics-3 kitabının ilk 5 ünitesini kapsamaktadır. Sınav iki bölümden oluşmaktadır;

Dinleme (60 puan)
- Dinleme-1 Uzun dinleme metni ve not alma
- Dinleme-2 Diyalog dinleme ve diyalogla ilgili sorulara cevap verme
Kelime bilgisi (40 puan)

ve toplam 100 puandır. Sınav süresi 75 dakikadır.

- LISTENING-1 (Uzun dinleme metni – not alma) (dinleme metni 2 kez dinlenecektir)
1 dk. Boşluk- Not alma kağıdının okunması için
Dinleme (Metnin birinci kez dinlenmesi)
30 sn. boşluk
Dinleme (Metnin ikinci kez dinlenmesi)
8 dk. Süre- Sorulara geçilmesi ve soruların cevaplanması
LISTENING-2 (Diyalog) (Diyalog 2 kez dinlenecektir)
2 dk. Boşluk (Soruların okunması için)
Dinleme (Diyaloğun birinci kez dinlenmesi)
30 sn. boşluk
Dinleme (Metnin ikinci kez dinlenmesi)
2 dk. Süre-cevapların optik forma geçirilmesi ve kontrolü

VOCABULARY (Kelime bölümü)

UYARI-1: Eğer sınava geç kalırsanız, koridor görevlisi ile iletişime geçiniz.

UYARI-2: Dinleme-1 bölümünde not alma ve dinleme işlemi bittikten sonra sorulara geçilecektir. Bu nedenle soru kitapçıkları uzun dinleme metni (LECTURE) 2. kez dinlenirken kapalı bir şekilde dağıtılacaktır. Öğrencilerin “LECTURE BİTMEDEN ÖNCE” soru kitapçıklarını ellerine almaları ve/veya açmaları yasaktır. “LECTURE” bölümü biter bitmez öğrencilerin kitapçıklarını kontrol edip soruları okuyup cevaplaması için 8 dk. süresi olacaktır.

UYARI-3: Dinleme bölümü bitinceye kadar sınav salonundan çıkılmayacaktır. (45 dakika)

Dear students,

SUMMER SCHOOL ENG 122 MIDTERM EXAM-I will be on Wednesday, 23 July 2025 at 09:30. You are expected to be present in your designated exam rooms before 09:15 in order for us to carry out all necessary exam procedures and make announcements. (Please, click here to check your designated exam rooms.) You are supposed to have your Çankaya University student ID cards and an extra ID card.

The exam consists of the first 3 weeks of the Eng122 course syllabus and the first 5 units of the Contemporary Topics-3 book. The exam consists of:

Listening Part (60 points)
- Listening-1 | Lecture and note-taking
- Listening-2 | Listening to a conversation and answering questions related to it
Vocabulary Part (40 points)

and it is 100 points in total. The exam will take 75 minutes.

Midterm Exam-1 will be executed as follows:

ENG122 MIDTERM (75 mins.)

- LISTENING-1 (Listening- note-taking) (You are going to hear the listening text TWICE.)
  - 1 min. silence (to go over the note-taking sheet)
  - Listening (listening to the text for the 1st time)
  - 30 sec. silence
  - Listening (listening to the text for the 2nd time)
  - 8 mins. (To go to the questions page and answer the questions)
LISTENING-2 (Listening- conversation) (You are going to hear the conversation TWICE.)

2 min. silence (to go over the questions)
Listening (Listening to the conversation for the 1st time)
30 sec. silence
Listening (Listening to the text for the 2nd time)
2 mins. (To check the answers)

VOCABULARY

WARNING-1: If you arrive late for the exam, please contact the Corridor Attendant.

WARNING-2: You will answer the questions in Listening-1 after listening to the lecture TWICE and have taken notes on note-taking sheet. Therefore, the booklets will be distributed to you upside down while listening to the lecture for the 2nd time. It is forbidden to open the booklets before the LECTURE IS OVER. You are expected to take and check your booklet as soon as the LECTURE (Listening-1) is over. You will have 8 minutes to answer the questions and check your answers.

WARNING-3: No one is allowed to leave the exam room until the listening session is over. (45 minutes)
